Disable Protections

Some Windows security features can interfere with our products. Follow these steps to disable them temporarily.

Disable Memory Integrity (Core Isolation)

  1. Open Windows Security
  2. Go to Device SecurityCore isolation details
  3. Turn off Memory Integrity
  4. Restart your PC

A restart is required after disabling Memory Integrity.

Disable Secure Boot (if required)

Some products may require Secure Boot to be disabled. Only do this if instructed.

  1. Restart your PC and enter BIOS (usually F2, Del, or F12 during boot)
  2. Find the Secure Boot option (usually under Security or Boot)
  3. Set it to Disabled
  4. Save and exit BIOS

Disable Virtualization-Based Security (VBS)

  1. Press Win + R, type msinfo32, and press Enter
  2. Check if Virtualization-based security is listed as "Running"
  3. If running:
    • Open Turn Windows features on or off
    • Uncheck Hyper-V and Virtual Machine Platform
    • Restart your PC

Verify Protections Are Disabled

After restarting, verify in msinfo32:
