Apex Legends — HOOK Injection Guide
Step-by-step instructions for injecting and using HOOK on Apex Legends.
Make sure you've completed all Setup steps before proceeding.
Before You Start
- RivaTuner (RTSS) must be running as Administrator
- Apex Legends must be set to Windowed or Fullscreen Borderless mode
- Close Apex Legends before starting the injection process
Injection Steps
- Launch RivaTuner Statistics Server as Administrator (check your system tray to confirm it's running)
- Open Apex Legends, go to Settings → Video and set the display mode to Windowed or Fullscreen Borderless, then close the game completely
- Run the HOOK client as Administrator
- Enter your username and password and click Login
- Select Apex Legends from the product dropdown
- Click Load
- A console window will appear — this confirms the cheat loaded successfully
- Launch Apex Legends and play
If you see the console window pop up after pressing Load, the cheat is working correctly. If nothing happens or you see an error, check the Troubleshooting page.
Recommended Settings
Apex Legends has very aggressive server-side aimbot detection. Unlike most games that only rely on client-side anti-cheat, Apex analyzes your aim patterns on the server. This means your settings matter more than detection status.
If you use high aimbot strength or obvious settings, you will get banned even while the cheat is undetected.

| Aimbot Strength | Keep low (30-50%) — high values create unnatural snap patterns the server detects |
| Smoothing | Keep high — makes your aim movement look natural and human |
| FOV | Use medium FOV — don't lock onto targets across the entire screen |
| Headshot Only | Never — 100% headshot rate is an instant flag |
| Display Mode | Windowed or Fullscreen Borderless (required for the overlay) |
- Don't use aimbot in every fight — toggle it on/off
- Mix headshots with body shots naturally
- Use ESP for awareness, not pre-aiming through walls
- The server tracks your hit accuracy, headshot percentage, and reaction time
- If you're consistently hitting shots you shouldn't be able to hit, the system flags you
