Install Requirements

Step 4 of 4 — Install the software and runtimes your product needs to run.

HOOK (Fortnite / Apex)

Install RivaTuner Statistics Server (RTSS)

RivaTuner provides the overlay framework that HOOK uses to render the cheat. It is required for all HOOK products.

1. Download RivaTuner Statistics Server from your Dashboard downloads section
2. Run the installer and follow the prompts
3. After installation, right-click the RTSS icon in your system tray and ensure it's running as Administrator

Always run RTSS as Administrator

RivaTuner must be running as Administrator every time you use a HOOK product. If the cheat overlay doesn't appear in-game, check that RTSS is running in your system tray.

Auto-start as Admin

To make RTSS always start with admin privileges:

1. Right-click the RTSS shortcut → Properties
2. Click Advanced → Check Run as administrator
3. Click OK

Download the HOOK Client

1. Log in at owncheats.com
2. Go to your Dashboard
3. Click Download on your active HOOK subscription
4. Save the client to a dedicated folder (e.g., C:\OwnCheats)

SAFEST (Rust)

Install .NET 6.0 Desktop Runtime

The Safest loader requires the .NET 6.0 Desktop Runtime.

1. Download the .NET 6.0 Desktop Runtime (x64) from Microsoft
   • Make sure you download the Desktop Runtime, not the regular Runtime or SDK
   • Download the x64 version
2. Run the installer and follow the prompts
3. Restart your PC after installation

Verify Installation

Open Command Prompt and run:

dotnet --list-runtimes

You should see Microsoft.WindowsDesktop.App 6.x.x in the output.

Download the Loader

1. Download the Safest loader from safestloader.com/download
2. Save it to a dedicated folder (e.g., C:\OwnCheats)

SQUAD (Rust)

Install Visual C++ Redistributables

Squad requires all Visual C++ runtime libraries. The easiest way to install every version is with the all-in-one package:

1. Download the All-in-One Visual C++ Redistributable from TechPowerUp
2. Extract the downloaded ZIP file using WinRAR or 7-Zip
3. Inside the extracted folder, right-click install_all.bat → Run as Administrator
4. Wait for all installations to complete (several installers will flash by — this is normal)
5. Restart your PC

Install BSOD Prevention Fix

This fix prevents potential blue screens caused by driver conflicts with Squad's kernel-level components. This is a one-time installation.

1. Download the BSOD fix from your Dashboard downloads section
2. Extract the ZIP file
3. Run the included files as Administrator
4. Restart your PC

You only need to install this once. After the initial setup, you don't need to run it again unless you reinstall Windows.

Download the Loader

1. Log in at owncheats.com
2. Go to your Dashboard
3. Click Download Loader on your active Squad subscription
4. Save it to a dedicated folder (e.g., C:\OwnCheats)

MATRIX (Arc Raiders)

Install NVIDIA GeForce Experience or NVIDIA App

Matrix uses the NVIDIA overlay to render the cheat interface. This means:

• You must have an NVIDIA GPU
• GeForce Experience or the newer NVIDIA App must be installed and running

Installation

1. Download one of the following (only one is needed):
   • GeForce Experience (classic)
   • NVIDIA App (newer replacement)
2. Install and sign in with your NVIDIA account
3. Open the app and go to Settings → General
4. Toggle In-Game Overlay to ON

Verify the Overlay is Working

• When you launch any game, you should see a brief NVIDIA notification in the corner of your screen
• You can also press Alt + Z to manually open the NVIDIA overlay
• If the overlay doesn't appear, check Settings → General → In-Game Overlay is enabled

Required for Matrix

The cheat will not function without the NVIDIA overlay active. If the overlay is off, injection will fail silently — no error, just nothing happens.

AMD GPU Users

The NVIDIA App and its overlay work on all GPUs including AMD — the overlay is not GPU-specific. Install the NVIDIA App, sign in, and enable the In-Game Overlay.

Download the Loader

1. Log in at owncheats.com
2. Go to your Dashboard
3. Click Download Loader on your active Matrix subscription
4. Save it to a dedicated folder (e.g., C:\OwnCheats)
