Rust — SQUAD Injection Guide

Step-by-step instructions for injecting and using SQUAD on Rust.

Prerequisites

Make sure you've completed all Setup steps before proceeding. SQUAD has additional requirements including the BSOD fix and Visual C++ Redistributables.

Before You Start

  • Rust must be installed via Steam
  • You need an active Rust Squad subscription
  • Antivirus must be fully disabled
  • The BSOD fix must be installed (see Install Requirements)
  • Rust must be completely closed before starting

Injection Steps

Order matters!

Follow these steps in exact order. Launching the game too early will cause injection to fail.

  1. Make sure Rust is completely closed (open Task Manager → look for RustClient.exe and end it if running)
  2. Run the Squad loader as Administrator
  3. Enter your license key when prompted
  4. Click Inject and wait for the loader to process
  5. When the loader prompts you, launch Rust through Steam
  6. Wait until you're in the game lobby or have joined a server
  7. Switch back to the loader if prompted and follow any remaining instructions
  8. Once injection is successful, press INSERT to open the cheat menu
Critical notes
  • Do NOT open Rust before the loader tells you to
  • If injection fails, close everything and start from step 1
  • If you experience a blue screen (BSOD), make sure the BSOD fix was installed correctly
  • Make sure all system protections are disabled — SQUAD requires more protections disabled than other products

Tips

  • Always download the latest loader version from your Dashboard before each session
  • If the loader says your key is invalid, check your subscription status on the Dashboard
  • If you get disconnected after injecting, restart the entire process from step 1
  • SQUAD has advanced features like noclip and movement hacks — use them carefully to avoid player reports
