Fortnite — HOOK Injection Guide
Step-by-step instructions for injecting and using HOOK on Fortnite.
Prerequisites
Make sure you've completed all Setup steps before proceeding.
Before You Start
- RivaTuner (RTSS) must be running as Administrator
- Fortnite must be set to Windowed or Fullscreen Borderless mode
- Close Fortnite before starting the injection process
Injection Steps
- Launch RivaTuner Statistics Server as Administrator (check your system tray to confirm it's running)
- Open Fortnite, go to Settings → Video and set the display mode to Windowed or Fullscreen Borderless, then close the game completely
- Run the HOOK client as Administrator
- Enter your username and password and click Login
- Select Fortnite from the product dropdown
- Click Load
- A console window will appear — this confirms the cheat loaded successfully
- Launch Fortnite and play
Success indicator
If you see the console window pop up after pressing Load, the cheat is working correctly. If nothing happens or you see an error, check the Troubleshooting page.
Recommended Settings
| Setting | Recommendation |
|---|---|
| Hitbox | Always use Closest — this targets the nearest bone for natural-looking aim |
| Safe Mode | Never disable — this is a critical anti-detection feature |
| Smoothing | Adjust based on your playstyle. If you have to wonder if it's too aggressive, it probably is. Start high and lower gradually |
| Display Mode | Windowed or Fullscreen Borderless (required for the overlay) |
Play smart
Fortnite has replay mode, spectator mode, and kill cams. Other players can review suspicious gameplay and report you. Keep your settings conservative — subtle cheating lasts much longer than obvious cheating.
